General Requirements

1. Requirements for Bachelor’s Degree

South Sudanese applicants must have a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) with a minimum percentage of 60% for both the South Sudan and Sudan School Certificates.

Ugandan applicants must hold the Advanced Secondary School Certificate with two principal passes or the equivalent.

Applicants from Kenya, Ethiopia, or elsewhere must hold a Secondary School Certificate with at least a C+ grade or the equivalent, certified by the respective Embassies/Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

1.1 Requirements for Diploma

South Sudanese applicants must have a Senior Secondary School Certificate with a minimum of 50%.

Ugandan applicants require one principal pass in the Advanced Secondary School Certificate and 1st or 2nd grade “O” Level Certificate.

Kenyan, Ethiopian, or other foreign applicants must have a Secondary School Certificate with at least a C grade or equivalent, certified appropriately.

2. Introductory Year Program

All first-year students take foundational courses in study skills, logic, communication (English), math, computer studies, accounting, social analysis, and ethics. Performance in this year determines advancement to the second year.

3. Additional Faculty Requirements

Students applying to Economics, Business Administration, Education, or Agricultural/Environmental Sciences must pass Introductory Year Mathematics with at least a grade "C".

4. Candidates Transferring from Other Universities

Transfer candidates from recognized universities who have completed at least one year with satisfactory progress may be considered. They must provide authenticated academic records, two references, and a letter of transfer endorsement from their institution's Registrar or Academic Officer.

5. Application & Registration Procedures

  • Applicants must submit completed forms with a non-refundable fee and their preferred faculty/programs.
  • The Admissions Committee will make final selections and may reassign applicants to alternate faculties if necessary.
  • Successful applicants will be contacted for registration.

6. Late Registration

Students who apply more than two weeks after lectures begin will not be admitted without the Admissions Committee's approval.

Note:

Students may withdraw from a course until the end of the second week of the semester. New course registration also ends in the second week, requiring permission from the course instructor and the student’s adviser.
